Rory Gallagher is the man who, without question, spearheaded the entire Irish rock and blues movement. More than that he has had a significant influence on scores of musicians and rockers the world ober and has a legion of loyal fans around the world to this day, despite his untimely death ten years ago.

In this programme for Channel 4 timed to coincide with the release of his ultimate anthology Big Guns features some legendary names discussing the man's virtuosity, genius and legacy alongside some classic performances from the vaults.

The programme features Rory recorded live during his 1974 tour of Ireland and features some of his most iconic tracks including 'Tatoo'd Lady', 'Cradle Rock' and 'Hands Up'. The programme also features some performances recorded in Coirk in 1990 including 'Wanted Blues', Shadow Play and 'Messin' With The Kid'.
