Part One
Introduction to the Spider-man phenomenon and set-up - what
does Spider-man mean to us and what separates him from the other
superheroes, the anticipation of the Spider-man - the movie.
Part Two
Spider-man - the story behind the hero.
From Marvel to movie
star. The historical development of a pop culture icon
from inception, across media and up to movies. Specially shot interviews
with the creator and animators of Spider-man, intercut with news archive and
clips of Spider-man through the ages. A chronology of
Spider-man baddies and goodies.
Part Three
Superhero superstar.
The making of the movie - b-roll and
specially shot interviews with the director and the stars of the movie tell
the chronological story of the making of the movie - the years of gestation
from first pitch through to first draft with James Cameron to 1999 when
production began, Director Sam Raimi - the Spider fans's choice. Behind the
scenes footage of the key scenes Intercut with first hand anecdotal
recollection from the a list stars of the movie including key scenes such as
the impact that events of September 11th had on the scenes in the film set
in NY. The soundtrack and its significance.
Part Four
The build-up to the premiere in Los Angeles on May 3rd 2002
as Spider-man takes over a city - the anticipation of the stars on the
night, and the reactions of the celebrities at the screening and the press
the next day. End - the sequel is already in production.
