Having worked at the BBC for over 8 years, Veerinder started
her production career there when she joined the popular weekly
magazine show The O Zone as a junior researcher. She
then moved on to work at BBC Choice in its launch year as both
a Researcher and Assistant Producer on shows such as Bite
Night (themed Buffy the Vampire Slayer evening) Suspense
Night (themed Hitchcock evening) and other programmes such
as Off Your Box (surreal late night comedy programme)
and Great Speeches (famous speeches made by Martin Luther
King, Neville Lawrence and Sir Bob Geldof).
During her time at the BBC Veerinder also worked in Equal Opportunities
Dept for Television and completed a BBC sponsored Business Management
Diploma. After leaving the BBC, Veerinder worked on the Channel
4 weekly music programme Planet Pop as a researcher and
director before becoming one of the Directors of Free @ Last TV.
Since then she has worked as an Assistant Producer on Public
Eminem #1, as a Production Manager on Ibiza: Barefoot
in the Med, Nu Music and Get Your Hits Out.
She was also Associate Producer on the highly successful series
The Punk Years for Play UK. She Directed Tupac:
All Eyez On Me for the Channel 4 series Rock n Roll Myths
and has continued to act as Production Manager on all the Free
@ Last TV productions. She co-produced the anniversary events
Dr Who @ 40 and Porridge @ 30, and has most
recently Produced and Directed Fawlty Towers @ 30, all
for UKTV Gold.
Veerinder is currently producing the UK versions of concerts
by John Denver and Luthor Vandross as well as
producing an anniversary event called The Punk Story (working
title) for ITV4.
