Tyler Slade | Television Presenter

Bognor born and bred Tyler, first appeared on TV – ‘Wise Up’ (Carlton Television – Channel 4) whilst still at school in 1995. Three years later, he was hand picked by Wised Up Productions (now an independent production company) to help front a new project, the (then) new young teen show Nick Newson the Nickelodeon channel. The show ran for 24 episodes over 2 series, picking up a BAFTA along the way.

Since Tyler’s relocation to London in 2002 he’s been busy attending screen tests and auditions and building his show reel. Recent success include a stint as the youngest presenter with John Noel Management, an appearance on E4’s Celebrity Five Go Dating (Objective Productions) and a unique one to one interview with New Zealand’s finest broadcast export, MTV2 presenter & Radio1 DJ, Zane Lowe. Most recently Tyler has been chosen as a reporter for youth magazine show ‘Freeloader’ a new project for up and coming digital channel, which will launch early next year.

Tyler has also been exercising his talent off screen, as resident compere and crowd warm up MC. Major events have included benefit gigs for Macmillan Cancer Support at the Clapham Grand and London’s legendry 100 club for the likes of Turin Brakes and Black Mariah, Fun Lovin’Criminals at the South Coasts Rox festival and the ‘Bent’ (Ministry of Sound) dance tent at the Big Chill Festival.

Tyler’s knowledge of music and youth culture compliment his technique in front of the camera, but ultimately his fresh faced, humorous, ambitious and larger than life personality is simply enlightening to watch and be around.
