‘HUNTING KILLERS IN THE SECRET HEART OF GLASGOW…’

Based on Campbell Armstrong’s series of four brutally exciting crime books, collectively known as ‘The Glasgow Novels’, Perlman tells the story of a fifty something year old Jewish detective Lou Perlman, in an epic three series drama.

The dark violent streets of Glasgow is Gotham without Batman, instead it has Detective Sergeant Lou Perlman, stained tie and mismatched suit as its would be guardian. He may not be able to clean up the streets by himself, but this is his city and he’ll be damned if he doesn’t try.

Each novel is a standalone story, but across Perlman pivotal relationships intersect, clash and confront each other, creating one glorious gory Glasgow saga. Lou Perlman tackles grisly murders, high profile corruption and low life double-dealing. He struggles against, eventually confronts and defeats unrequited love, betrayal and racism. The roll call of the dead, amongst a myriad of others, includes his brother and the woman he loves.

Perlman writer Marc Pye has written many hours of U.K. TV drama for series and serials including EastEnders, Holby City, Hollyoaks, The Bill, Waterloo Road, The Royal, Holby Blue, Doctors, Echo Beach, River City, High Road, Moving On and RTE’s Fair City, but best known for writing The Flasher for the BAFTA, International Emmy and RTS award winning Series One of The Street.
